Dad's Creatnine
Good morning all,
Just wanted to pop in and say Dad just got his regular blood work done and his creatnine the lowest it's been yet!! It was perfect and we were happy to hear such wonderful news. His doctor's had told him to drink more water and that has brought it down even more than it was before, they said it's important to drink lots everyday. Just wanted to share the good news :)

Hi Amanda,
First off let me tell you how wonderful it is you gave the gift of life to your father! I to am getting ready to give my father a kidney, the surgery is set for Tuesday 1-29-08 very soon. I am getting really nervous, I just want everything to work out great. I to will be having the laproscopic kind. I am 25 years old and in good shape, my wife and family and have been a great support to me. I am expecting to be off work for 2 to 2 and a half weeks, I am thinking by reading other blogs, including yours I may need more time. I just wanted to let you know like you I will be donating to my father on Tuesday. I will update you after surgery if you are interested. I hope you have a great day and your story was very inspiring!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I am definitely interested in hearing how you and your father make out, and would love to be updated! Thanks for offering. I was really nervous as well, but it went very smoothly, as I'm sure yours will as well. Each person is different in regards to how much time they need off, but I would recommend considering a little more time off. I definitely needed the 6 weeks. Some people are fine after 3 or 4 I hope you have a speedy recovery. And thank you again so much for your kind words, my hope was that this blog would be helpful to others who were experiencing what I had experienced, I can see now that it has been and that means so much to me. I am posting this on Wednesday January 30th, so you would have had your surgery yesterday. Please let me know how it went, you are in my thoughts.
